Rossdales Neurocare Ltd is a specialist clinic founded by Gina Rossdale-Smith offering an assessment for children who are underachieving in school. They may be behind their peers at school, lacking academic potential, or parents and school may witness challenging behavior which can be verbally or physically aggressive. Challenging behavior can be triggered by immense frustration for children who are unable to express themselves verbally. Some children may be temporarily or permanently excluded from their school.
We encourage self-referrals to this clinic to ensure rapid access to help and treatment as soon as possible. This can be achieved by a 30- minute discovery call during which we can formulate an outline treatment and management plan geared for your child.
Following the discovery call with an outline plan in mind, we can start information gathering from questionnaires to parent and school to explore your child’s strengths, challenges, obstacles and opportunities as well as their current concentration, attention span, social-communication development, co-ordination balance and sensory system. The questionnaires given to school need to be completed by someone who knows your child well. Finally, will have a complete picture of your child’s needs.
Whilst the information is being gathered, we can arrange an appointment at a clinic near you or if you live locally, we may be able to visit your home, where your child will feel safe, secure and relaxed during the assessment or follow-up appointments.
Further to this, we can formulate an individualized treatment plan geared towards your child in the form of specific behavioral management, dietary manipulation, equine assisted therapy or a trial of stimulant or non-stimulant medication, or a combination of interventions.
Rossdales Neurocare are experts in Equine assisted therapy and see the benefits this treatment option can provide for both adults and children with anxiety, negative thinking and motivational issues. A few sessions of Equine Assisted Therapy can lead to enhanced self-esteem, leadership skills and feelings of well-being. Children show improved confidence and a higher self-image.
