Equine assisted therapy and ADHD. Autism and Anxiety

Introduction to our Equine Therapy

Rossdales Neurocare Ltd are experts in equine assisted therapy, which involves a holistic and highly specialized approach to specific behavioural management, and learning to live in the world with peace and contentment.

Our four horses and four ponies have been especially chosen to do their job, as they’re are sensitive to your needs and act as a catalyst for you to achieve your dreams and aspirations. In fact, you hold the pathway to reach your goals inside yourself already. It is usually in your sub-conscious part of your brain.

What happens during a session?

During the session, you or your child will work with a horse or pony, to find out more about themselves, find their life purpose, achieve their goals, and dreams and reshape their lives.

Every day at Rossdales Neurocare Ltd, we see patients of equine assisted therapy growing in confidence, and learning the skills to cope effectively with their experiences of life. This can be achieved by promoting a feeling of well-being, enhanced self-image, relaxation and meditation, and the learning of leadership skills.

Our Aim

The aim of equine therapy is therefore to enable you or your child to discover more about yourself, using this information to develop new ways of thinking, and change any negative behaviors or thoughts. We typically deliver equine assisted therapy to adults and children who have ADHD, Autism, and Anxiety, while the treatment can be suitable for the management of a range of behavioural issues, including for children who have been subject to school exclusions.

Goals and Outcomes

The goals and outcomes of this form of therapy can include supporting the development of skills such as emotional regulation, self-confidence, and responsibility. Amazingly, horses have been used for therapeutic purposes in various forms since the time of the ancient Greeks.
